Chico

Chico

Chicken owner Daniel McGuire looked out of his window to see his dog cornering Chico. Chico had entered Daniel's chicken coop and had killed four chickens.

Once Chico was securely contained, Chris from Lower Moss Wood Wildlife Hospital came to inspect the dog fox and found early symptoms of mange. He was treated in the wildlife centre and released live on our Channel 4 show Monday 30 April.

Chico is a rehabilitated fox. He was fitted with a GPS collar and released back into the wild. 'Rehab' foxes can spend upto a few weeks getting back to full health, before being released back into their local area. If they have been out of their territory for some time, another fox could have taken over. In this case, they may have to find a new home.

Chico's GPS-tracked journey began on Monday 30 April.
