The Fox Report: Living for the Weekend
The foxes enjoyed varying degrees of activity this weekend, from leisurely walks, to a spot of sightseeing and even a bit of golf.
Grace and Ringtail kept up with traditions on Sunday 22nd April, both visiting their local churches, Ringtail using his local Methodist Church as the perfect place to take a five hour long siesta.
There was lots of walking with Diesel spending most of Friday 20 April patrolling the estuary and Grace covering 17km in one day, quite a feat for a fox. Rathbone on the other hand, has chosen a less than desired stomping ground – a railway line. In one day, he managed to cross the line 11 times. Although most foxes die on roads, our daredevil should be wary of those oncoming trains.
It would also seem that some of our foxes are sport fans, Ringtail made an appearance on a golf course at 6pm on Sunday and Basil enjoyed the tennis courts in the grounds of Brixham College. After the weekend’s adventures, the foxes made sure they caught up on their rest, Basil choosing to do so in some picturesque seaside cottages and Diesel opting for the not-so-picturesque landfill site in Alexander docks.
Our newest addition, Loxy , was the only fox not to join in with the weekend frivolities, spending her time trying to track down her old haunts after being released from the rehabilitation centre on Sunday night.
So the foxes have had a busy weekend heading to lots of interesting locations… Where’s the strangest place that you’ve seen a fox? Plot it on our map.
